Joann McCaslin Monk Named McAuliffe Teacher Of The Year

Congratulations to special education teacher Joann McCaslin Monk, who was named the 2025-2026 McAuliffe Teacher Of The Year during the school’s annual Rock Your School assembly Thursday afternoon.
She received a crown, flowers, a purple robe and lots of applause and hugs.
The assembly featured a rodeo theme and pre-selected students from each grade played in a series of games on stage as they threw hoops to “rope” inflatable horses.
At the end of the assembly, teachers in cowboy hats and western wear performed a dance - sure, let’s call it a dance – to “Old Town Road.”
